GeneticRX Privacy Policy

GeneticRX ("GeneticRX," "we," "us," or "our") operates the GeneticRX cultivation, genetics, breeding, grow-management, telemetry, integrations, documentation, and related software services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we disclose it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Account and identity

We may collect your name or display name, email address, authentication and account identifiers, protected password credentials, account/workspace/membership/subscription information, entitlement information, security settings, two-factor authentication state, recovery information, login events, session information, and security events.

Cultivation and genetics

The Services may store sites, rooms, grows, plants, seeds, clones, strains, breeding projects, crosses, phenotype observations, harvests, drying and curing records, cultivation notes, recipes, tasks, costs, inventory, yield information, reports, photographs, attachments, exports, and workspace preferences that you choose to enter.

Equipment and telemetry

Enabled integrations may process controller/device identifiers, connection and authorization metadata, environmental readings, historical telemetry, equipment status, alerts, integration errors, and synchronization records.

Support, billing, and technical data

We may process support requests and attachments, contact information, troubleshooting data, subscription and payment-status information, IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, request metadata, authentication events, abuse-prevention events, and application or infrastructure diagnostics.

Discord

If you use the GeneticRX Discord Bot, it may receive Discord user IDs, names, avatars, server nicknames, membership and roles, join/leave and moderation events, message metadata made available through Discord APIs, and information you directly provide through commands, interactions, or account linking. The bot is designed not to require Message Content access for ordinary operation.

How we use information

We use information to provide and maintain the Services; authenticate users; enforce permissions and account isolation; manage subscriptions; operate authorized integrations; provide support; send operational and security notices; prevent fraud, abuse, spam, raids, and unauthorized access; monitor reliability and security; investigate incidents; maintain backups; comply with law; and improve the Services with appropriate safeguards.

Sharing

We may share information with service providers that host, secure, monitor, support, or operate the Services; authentication providers you choose; payment processors; integrations you enable; Discord when its APIs require transmission; professional advisers; regulators or law enforcement when legally required or permitted; and a successor entity in a qualifying transaction. We do not sell personal information to data brokers or sell Discord API data.

Retention and security

We retain information only as reasonably necessary for providing the Services, requested records, security, fraud prevention, backups, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Security/audit records may be retained longer than ordinary operational logs. We use commercially reasonable safeguards including encryption in transit, protected secrets, least-privilege access, account isolation, authentication, security logging, backups, controlled deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, object to, or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where applicable, and opt out of certain processing where required by law. GeneticRX does not sell personal information for targeted advertising.

For privacy requests, use the official GeneticRX support/contact channel. We may verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under the minimum age permitted by applicable law. Discord requires users to meet a minimum age of 13 and any higher minimum age required by local law. GeneticRX may impose additional age requirements for particular features or jurisdictions.

Cannabis and sensitive information

GeneticRX is software for cultivation, genetics, breeding, environmental management, records, and related operations. It is not a medical provider, pharmacy, legal adviser, or government licensing authority. Do not enter medical records, protected health information, financial-account credentials, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information into free-form fields unless the specific feature expressly supports it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Services, laws, or data practices change. The effective date will be updated when a revised version becomes effective.
